I want to help bring you back to your freedom. Your freedom to let go of habits that no longer serve you, from a relationship that’s run its course, from your loneliness, from an addiction or compulsive behaviour, or from past events. Your freedom is always there, but it can be easy, for a huge variety of reasons, to feel lost or separated from it.
Whatever you're facing, it doesn't make sense to you, and so you don't know what to do about it. That's where I come in. Not because I know what to do but because I’ll help you figure it out.
I trained as a psychotherapist at Regent's School of Psychology and Psychotherapy, London. This training combines psychodynamic and integrative schools with a distinct existential edge. The existential school is a philosophical enquiry into what life is all about. Psychotherapy isn't about proving theories. It's practical wisdom for you, about you, as discovered in meeting me. I embody an open but critical attitude toward categories and diagnoses to help you investigate your experience in pursuit of new possibilities. You may read more about the existential approach to psychotherapy here.
Previously, I enjoyed a 20+ year career leading teams in technology. I was also Chair of LGBT Humanists, campaigning for social change and speaking at rallies. I practice Yin yoga, piano and mindfulness.
I am a student of the scientific enlightenment and an unenlightened Bodhisattva.
