An early morning walk across London Bridge to my practice

Availability & fees

I work in:

  • London Bridge on Wednesday and Friday afternoon/evening.
  • Stoke Newington on Tuesday afternoon/evening.

I note here on my website when slots become available. Otherwise, please ask for current or upcoming availability.

I offer 50-minute sessions to individual adults at a fee of £70.

I maintain a few slots at a 15% reduced rate of £60: these are often full, but please enquire. These are available to those with insignificant assets and an income less than £30k/year (self-assessed).

I work 4 sessions per week for free within the Reduced Fee Service at Number 42 Psychotherapy and Well-being. These slots are all currently taken, but you can contact the service if relevant to you. They charge a reduced fee based on income, less than my rates, to cover rooms and supervision.

There are three things we cry for in life: things that are lost, things that are found, and things that are magnificent.

geTtING started: A GUIDE

Coming to therapy can feel a big decision and daunting at times. I aim to make it straightforward. I'm happy to answer questions by email or arrange a brief telephone or Skype call without charge.

If you wish to proceed, I'll propose a time to meet. I'll follow up with a proposed agreement outlining obligations for us both, with a focus on protecting you and the work. We then meet for an initial session, outlined below. If you wish to continue I reserve your slot and we meet in an open-ended agreement. You are free to leave at any time, though it is better to plan the ending if possible.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions large or small: I welcome the enquiry and aim to deal with it quickly, confidentially, accurately and sensitively.

The initial session

Initial appointments are full, paid 50-minute sessions to give you a clear idea of what I offer in practice. I hope to hear about what brings you, and answer your questions. I will listen carefully and address any concerns honestly and directly. I will ask about your family and cultural background, your support network, past experience of psychotherapy and things related to keeping you and others safe.

I'm happy to say something about myself, how I work and its relevance to you. I will propose some terms for our work including things about confidentiality and payment. If you wish to proceed, we then meet weekly in a slot reserved for you.
